Description

Opticon SE-214 — 2.1″ Digital Price Labels for Counters and Display Cases

A cosmetics counter or a jewellery case gives you almost no room for a price ticket, and what room there is competes with the product. The SE-214 is the smallest display in the SE-Range at 72.8 x 35.8 mm and 31 grams — a price label that sits beside a lipstick or a watch without visually overwhelming it.

The highest pixel density in the range

Small doesn’t mean coarse. At 130 dpi the SE-214 has the finest pixel pitch of any display in the SE-Range, so type stays crisp at the sizes a small label demands. The fully graphical 250 x 122 pixel display carries a product name, price, a short descriptor and a 2D code, with customisable templates so the label reads as part of your brand block rather than as generic shop furniture.

Repricing without touching the display

Premium retail reprices constantly — launches, seasonal sets, concession changes, duty-free differentials, end-of-line clearance. Every one of those normally means someone reaching into a merchandised display to swap a ticket, disturbing a layout that took time to build. Pushing prices centrally from the Opticon ESL Web Server Software removes that entirely: the price changes, the display doesn’t move, and the shelf edge agrees with the till from the moment the change is authorised.

Color where it counts

The SE-214R displays black, white and red. The SE-214RY adds yellow. In premium retail the restraint matters as much as the capability — a red price on a clean white label reads as a genuine reduction, and yellow gives a second, distinct signal for gift sets, new launches or loyalty pricing without the counter turning into a discount bin. Both models carry an RGB locator LED with adjustable brightness, which can be dimmed to near-invisible for displays where any glow would be wrong.

Built for dense estates

One base station supports up to 2,000 SE-214 displays — the highest capacity in the SE-Range — over a typical 25-metre indoor range. On a beauty hall or a concession floor where every facing takes a label, that headroom keeps the infrastructure count down. E-paper is bistable, drawing power only on update and holding its image even without power, so two CR2450 cells last approximately five years at five updates per day.
