SUNMI V2 PRO — Handheld Android POS with a Built-In Receipt Printer

Most mobile POS setups are two devices pretending to be one: a terminal in one hand and a printer clipped to a belt, connected over Bluetooth that drops at the worst moment. The V2 PRO puts the printer inside the terminal. One device, 356 grams, and the receipt comes out of the thing you’re already holding.

The whole transaction in one hand

Order, scan, take payment, print. A server takes an order at the table and sends it to the kitchen without walking to a station. A driver confirms a delivery, takes a card payment and hands over a receipt at the door. A market trader works a queue without a counter. The point isn’t any single capability — it’s that none of them requires reaching for a second device, which is what actually slows a transaction down.

The 5.99-inch HD+ capacitive touchscreen at 1440 x 720 gives enough room for a real order screen rather than a cramped list, and multitouch means the interface behaves the way staff already expect from a phone. Training time on a device that works like a phone is close to zero.

A printer that keeps up with a queue

The integrated 58mm thermal printer runs at 70mm/s on a Φ40mm paper roll. That’s quick enough that the receipt isn’t the bottleneck during a rush — the customer isn’t standing there watching a printer crawl. On the Label Version the same engine prints labels from 50–58mm wide and 20mm upward, which turns the device into a point-of-application labeller for takeaway orders, shelf tickets or dispatch marking.

Payments and connectivity

The NFC module supports Type A and B cards, Mifare and Felica, compliant with ISO/IEC 14443 and ISO 15693, so it covers contactless cards, phone wallets and transit-style media. A PSAM slot supports secure element requirements where the payment scheme calls for it.

Connectivity runs on 4G with a MINI SIM slot, dual-band Wi-Fi on 2.4 and 5 GHz, Bluetooth with BLE, and GNSS positioning across GPS, GLONASS and BeiDou with AGPS. The 4G and GNSS combination is what makes this workable outside four walls — a delivery round or a mobile pitch doesn’t depend on finding Wi-Fi.

Built for a working day, not a demo

The chassis has been drop tested by the manufacturer, and the operating range runs from −10 to 50 °C — wide enough for an unheated market pitch in winter or a delivery bag in summer, which is a genuine differentiator against devices specified for indoor use only. A USB Type-C port with OTG handles charging and peripherals, and an optional USB cradle provides a charging position with a USB port for the counter.

Managed across a fleet

SUNMI OS runs on Android, with SUNMI DMP handling remote device management — configuration, status monitoring, app deployment and remote assistance across a fleet from one console, with on-premises deployment available where data residency requires it. For an operator running twenty devices across four sites, that’s the difference between managing a fleet and chasing individual handsets.
